Air source heat pumps are new energy-saving heating equipment. In the absence of sufficient information, many people have a little misunderstanding about air source heat pumps. There are three main areas where air source heat pumps are often misunderstood:
Misunderstanding 1. Setting high temperature to heat up quickly?
Some users feel that the room temperature is low and need to heat up quickly, so they set the temperature of the air source heat pump to the highest. This practice is also wrong. The heating time of the room temperature depends on the indoor and outdoor temperature difference and the installed power per unit area of the room. When the installed power and the indoor and outdoor temperature difference are constant, no matter how many degrees you set, the time it takes for the room to rise to the temperature you need is the same. If your room is now 16℃ and you want the room to heat up to 18℃, in this case, the time you set 18℃ and the time you set 20℃ or even 25℃ to 18℃ are the same.
Correct approach
Set as many degrees as you need, or use an intelligent air source heat pump, and the thermostat can automatically calculate the time to open the thermostat in advance.
Misunderstanding 2. Are all temperature controls the same?
Many users set the temperature of the air source heat pump according to the room temperature they need, but after the temperature is set, the set heating effect cannot be achieved. There are two situations. One is that the air source heat pump is used or set incorrectly, because there are multiple types of temperature control, room temperature type, floor temperature type, dual temperature type, and dual temperature can choose different modes. In some cases, the floor temperature of the floor heating is set too low, and the floor temperature is reached quickly, but the room temperature is far from the set temperature, so some people will say that the floor heating is not hot. In addition, some people think that setting the same temperature is the same but each room feels different. This is actually related to the location of the radiator in the room. If the radiator is placed near the door, window, exterior wall and other places with relatively large heat dissipation, although the temperature displayed by the air source heat pump is not high, the indoor temperature already feels very warm. This can be set according to your needs.
Correct approach
When setting the temperature, you must determine the model of the radiator and set different temperatures according to different models of radiators. The correct use of the temperature control system is also a very important factor in the energy-saving operation of the floor heating system. Regardless of the nature of the floor heating system, relevant specifications should be followed when using it, and the heating effect of the air source heat pump should not be affected by incorrect use.
Misunderstanding 3: Will it save energy if it is turned on and off when it is used?
Some consumers will turn on the air source heat pump when needed and turn it off when they go out, thinking that this will save electricity (gas). In fact, this will not only not save energy but will consume more energy. The floor heating system is a low-temperature operating system. Usually, the heating cables or hot water coils of the floor heating are laid in concrete, so the ground radiation heating system has good heat storage. In this case, the use effect of the floor heating system has a lag. That is to say, it takes a certain amount of time for the room temperature to reach the set temperature after turning on the air source heat pump, and the indoor temperature will not drop rapidly after turning off the air source heat pump, and it takes a long time for the temperature to drop. Frequent switching not only fails to achieve the energy-saving effect of the floor heating system, but also increases the operating cost of the air source heat pump system. At the same time, frequent opening or closing of the heat pump system will also reduce the service life of the floor heating system.
Correct approach
The temperature of rooms that are not often used can be lowered by a few degrees. When you leave the house for a long time, you only need to lower the temperature of the air source heat pump by a few degrees. If you are not living in the house for a long time or are away for a long time, you can choose to turn off the heat pump system. However, it should be noted that if there are equipment or pipes in the room that are afraid of freezing, they should still be turned on to a certain temperature to prevent the equipment or pipes from freezing and cracking.
