The air energy water heater works according to the principle of "Reverse Carnot Cycle" . Specifically, the "outdoor unit" acts as a heat exchanger to absorb heat from the outdoor air, heat the low boiling point working medium (refrigerant) and make it evaporate.
The refrigerant steam enters the water tank through compression of the compressor, the water in which the heat is released condenses to liquefy and then throttles back to the outside heat exchanger for the next cycle. Simply put, it absorbs heat from the air to heat the water. The heat absorbed by the air can also be used in the kitchen to solve the problem of stifling heat.
